Khongoryn Els sand dunes
The Gobi’s most famous dunes, known as the “singing dunes”.
Khongoryn Els is one of the best-known sand dune fields of the Mongolian Gobi. The sand “sings” in the wind, which gives the dunes their nickname.
Climbing the dunes, camel rides and watching the sunset are visitor favourites.
